Tzedakah, tzedakah, tzedakah!

We had our weekly Shabbat party today!  We listened to music, sang songs, drank grape juice, and had oreos!  We loved doing tzedakah around the table.  Shabbat Shalom!

Painting with Cars

Ms. Maria set up an invitation with ramps, cars, and paint.  The kiddos explored the cars and ramps on their own at first, only interested in watching how the cars went down the ramps.  Ms. Maria introduced the paint and the children began painting with the cars.  They made different marks on the paper using cars as their paintbrushes.

Making Playdough

With the intention of using playdough to make tire marks, we needed to make the playdough first!  We mixed flour, oil, and salt together using measuring cups and spoons.  After mixing everything together, we enjoyed using playdough tools and cars to manipulate the playdough.

Collaborative Art

As an invitation, Ms. Maria put out collage materials and paint.  The children gathered at the table and proceeded to engage in process art with the materials.  Several children worked on strenthening their fine motor skills by squeezing the glue bottles to adhere the materials to the paper.  Children had the freedom to choose the colors they wanted to use and how much paint they wanted to use to continue creating their collaborative art piece.
